Road To Recovery

High Point Regional Health System is partnering with the American Cancer Society to offer the program, "
Road to Recovery." Volunteer drivers provide people with transportation to and from their scheduled medical appointments. Drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help ensure that people with cancer get the lifesaving treatments that they need.
Why is this important?
Cancer patients without transportation have limited options for completing their treatment schedules, which could be daily or weekly over a period of months. Some patients have no way to get there. In some cases, family and friends can help, but there are many times when they are not available. The Road to Recovery provides transportation options for people in those situations.
