High Point Regional Health System Receives Leadership Award From VHA Inc. Award Recognizes Hospital’s Operational Excellence
VHA Inc., a national health care alliance based in Irving, Texas, has recognized High Point Regional Health System with its 2006 VHA Leadership Award for Operational Excellence for earning recognition as a Magnet Hospital. The award will be presented to representatives of the hospital on May 21, 2006, during VHA’s Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Mo.
“We are one of only two VHA member hospitals nationwide that has been designated this year as a Magnet™ organization for the second time by the American Nurses Credentialing Center,” said Tammi Mengel, VP Inpatient Nursing. “Recruiting and retaining top quality nursing staff is critical to our ability to fulfill our mission to the communities we serve.
