Great 100 Inc. Recognizes High Point Regional Nurses
The Great 100, Inc. has named nine High Point Regional Health System nurses to its annual list of 100 North Carolina nurses who demonstrate excellence in practice and commitment to their profession.
The nurses included in the elite group are Denise Rhew of Trinity, Director of Surgical Services; Patsy Hayworth of Kernersville, Collaborative Patient Care Management for Wound, Ostomy Impatient Diabetes; Kim Lookabill of Lexington, Collaborative Patient Care Management for Oncology; Lucrecia Quick of High Point, Float Pool Unit Coordinator; Sheila Rush of Archdale, Clinical Utilization Review Analyst; Cynthia Schicker of High Point, Collaborative Patient Care Management for Medical Cardiac; Susan Turbeville of Thomasville, Float Pool Staff Nurse; Julie Ware of Jamestown, Clinical Supply Analyst; and Melissa Whittington of Randleman, Post Anesthesia Care Unit Staff Nurse.
The Great 100 is a grassroots peer recognition organization that honors the nursing profession in North Carolina. The organization strives to make a positive impact on the image of nursing and the nursing profession. Since 1988, the Great 100 has awarded over $140,000 toward nursing scholarships.
The recipients will be honored at the Great 100, Inc.’s annual Gala celebration on September 24, 2005, at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, N.C
